AccountRight System.NullReferenceException

Hi all,

I'm getting this System.NullReferenceException when I'm starting my AccountRight and trying to load my Company file.

 

See attached error.log

 

How can I reinstall AccountRight without loosing my settings / company file?

Application Version: 2020.2.23.8701
Application File Version: 2020.2.23.9038

Hi Manu (@mdhanda

 

Welcome to the Community Forum. Looks like you are still on an older version of AccountRight, so rather than reinstalling that version, I recommend updating to the latest version which should resolve the error, (which also means that future updates will be downloaded and installed automatically).

 

To install AccountRight PC Edition: 

  1. Click the Download AccountRight button to save the installer file: Download AccountRight.

  2. Close all programs, including AccountRight.

  3. Double-click the downloaded installer file to start the installation.

  4. Repeat these steps to install the update on all computers that access your company file.

  5. After installing, you can start AccountRight using the AccountRight icon on your desktop.

Before I proceed further, I've below queries:

 

1. My current product is AccountRight Plus. So, will my licence work with AccountRight PC Edition?

Application Version: 2020.2.23.8701
Application File Version: 2020.2.23.9038

2. Will it be able to load my company file from my current edition of AccountRight Plus?

Hi @mdhanda 

 

Yes, that is correct. As you are on AccountRight Plus, if you download the latest AccountRight PC Edition. Then you will be able to open your current file.
