Removing older versions of AccountRight software from my PC

I have been collecting versions of the software on my PC. Whenever I upgrade to the latest version, the older version stays on the PC. Can I safely remove all these programs without losing anything important? My company file is on the cloud.

Hi @Jackwaj

Yes you can - but make sure you DO NOT delete the common files - these are needed regardless of version.

Re: Removing older versions of AccountRight software from my PC

Thanks for the info Jennie, but what do you mean by the Common files? Are these program files or my company files?

Cheers,

Jack

Re: Removing older versions of AccountRight software from my PC

Hi @Jackwaj

To clarify, yes you can uninstall older versions of AccountRight through the Windows add/remove programs function. This will remove that program from your computer.

Certain files, such as company files, aren’t removed through this process as they are common files shared between versions. Generally speaking, unless you were trying to manually delete the program folders, this shouldn’t be an issue.

Do feel free to ask any other questions that you may have

Neil
