System.IO.IOException

Last week MYOB upgraded to 2021.5 and Windows 10 also upgraded automatically.. 

I can now open MYOB and select a company file but am unable to open the  company file (both library files and online files) . 

The message I get is "Unable to connnect"

 

The error log says code: "System IO.IOException"

Message: "Unable to open MaskedFilePath.config for writing because it is read only or hidden.

 

I have uninstalled, rebooted modem/router, rebooted computer and reinstalled - nothing has changed

 

The error log is attached

Hi @TraceyOD11 


This error generally means that one or all of the files are hidden or read-only. Please go to 'C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\MYOB_Technology_Pty_Ltd'  ( this location can be directly found by typing %localappdata% in the Run desktop app) and ensure that the attributes on the MYOB_Technology_Pty_Ltd folder are no longer hidden or read-only.
