Build items is causing the system to loop/crash

Hallo - not really sles and purchases but no inventory option

We cannot autobuild anything - go to build - gpes round in circles and does nothing.

Have shut down and restarted several times

Have cleared cache

What else do we do

Tried calling support and gave up (business as usual there)

Need help uregently

Hi @Tina1959, 

Thank you for your post. Can I confirm if you get an error message when this happens ? If you don't can you please attempt to build the item again, if it spins please close down the program and attach the Diagnostic log of the file to this post so I can investigate. 

Additionally, can I confirm if you are working on a local computer or a server ?

Hi Melisa,

We do not get an error message - it goes round in circles a bit and then does nothing.

It is weird - sometimres it works and we can build a few items and then it stops working altogether. Right now it is not working.

We are running sever edition 2020.1

Tried that - made no difference - still cannot auto build.

I tried first before changing the preferences - sometimes it does auto build - but could not do it this time. Changed preferences, logged out, logged back in again and retried. No difference - just get the going round circle, no error message and stays in the same screen but does nothing

Thanks for troubleshooting. Can I confirm if you are using a specific item in each auto build or is it different items each time you are trying to auto build ? 

Additionally can you please attach a screenshot of the auto build window?

Hi Melisa,

It makes no difference what I do,

If I try to build via a sale or if I try to build via the inventory autobuild neither works.

However - what is interesting is that I tried to do a dummy build of one product and it works each time - if I choose a different product it does not build each time.

Both are products that are always built - nothing unusual about either of them

Both are I sell and I inventory - had a look to see if there were any obvious differences and nothing stands out.

Thanks for the information provided. To troubleshoot can I please get you to Check out your company file and attempt to auto build. Does the build work when the files checked out ?

Are we getting anywhere with this?

 I posted this over 2 weeks ago and I still cannot build which means I cannot invoice. Not sure what is going on and why we annot get this to work. I have done all the suggestions that have been requested and it is making no difference at all.
