Lost customised invoices after upgrade

Can anyone help me? I have recently installed the last version update of AccountRight and now I don't have my customised invoices any more.  They still show on the dropdown list but are no longer customised.  Does anyone know how to retrieve them? Thanks

Hi @turner2 

 

Try restoring a backup copy of your data file to your local drive and export the customised forms.  Then go back to your live data and import the custom forms.

Thanks for the reply, but thats not the point.

 

Where are my forms, why has data been deleted from our live company file.

This is a serious issues and need some at Team MYOB to talk to me.

 

Somehow data is missing from our datafile and how is someone meant to rely on the integrity of the software ?

 

I need to know what has happended before I make the decession on what to do next.

I never sits well with me when data disappears for a live file, regardless of the software being used.

I have now found the thread I was looking for with more info...

For other clients affected, do restart the program. If that doesn't resolve the issue, do delete your cache file. This cache files stores information to aid in the searching and finding of recent values. Thus I would be deleting that cache file and allowing AccountRight to recache that company file (which will happen automatically when you open the company file again). 

 

The cache file can be found in the following location: 
C:\Users\--username--\AppData\Local\MYOB\AccountRight\201x.x\Cache


Please note that --username-- is the username that you are using to log into Windows with and AppData is a hidden folder so you would need to turn that preference on within Windows. The cache file name would be named "companyFileCache_<companyfilename>.

Program did the same thing. I shut down and restarted and it seemed to fix itself.  It did happen again the next day but now it seems to be working well. I didnt have to delete anything which is good.

This to me is a very bad user experience - also is a waste of my time.
