Salutation field on statements/invoices

Hi,

I using Custom List Fields do record certain information about customers.

I have been able to customise the invoice format to pull these fields: CardCustomList1 and CardCustomList2

I have just started customising the customers 'invoice' statement to pull these fields but they do not apear available.  How can I get these to appear?

Thanks,

Julie

Re: Salutation field on statements/invoices

Hi @JulieArgyle,

Unfortunately, the fields available on the Fields list when customising a statement are the only ones that can be added to a statement form. Generally, the options for customising a statement are less than that of an invoice so the available fields will likely be less as well. In this case, a workaround might be to customise a statement for each of your customers so you can add the information specific to each customer via text boxes - this, however, requires a fair bit of manual work. The alternative would be to simply not include the information on statements if that's an option for you.

Warm Regards,

Tallie

Re: Salutation field on statements/invoices

I will probably go with individualised customer statements as I need the info to display which of course means I am going to have a big list of customer statement forms as their are a lot of customers.  Lets hope they all remain prompt payers! :-)

That bieng said those fields are allocated tothe cusotmer and the statment is customer specifc so it does not make sense that the fields are not options for the statement.

I have raised an idea to add invoice descripiton and memo to the Aged Receivable detail report field options which seems like a 'no brainer' to me.

How can I go about getting both these ideas on the development agenda?

Re: Salutation field on statements/invoices

People are so busy these days.  I can't imagine very many people have the time to review your ideas and vote for them.  Nice idea though and a good way to placate the masses.

I have posted an idea but dont know how to easily find it again to see if anyone has voted. Ah well!

Hi @JulieArgyle,

Thanks for the feedback. Generally, we've found that our clients do view our Idea Exchange boards as providing a great avenue for them to share their thoughts, especially given it is reviewed by our product development teams.

Regarding your idea - one easy way to locate it would be to go through your recent posts. You can do this by clicking on your username. I've also provided the link below:
