Year

I've AccountRight 2018-2. My company names The Automation Professional.

I've closed the 2018 financial year and started the new year 2019.

However, when I go to MYOB to open the file. The name of my file still 2018 The Automation Professional.

How can I change it to 2019 The Automation Professional?

Re: Year

Hi @2805minhthu

When you create a company file you have the option to set a company name, by default this name is used as the company file name within Windows so you will have "ABC Company" for example.

Now, in your case, it sounds like you have gone and updated that company file to have the financial year included in the company name. As this is not a default, when the user does close a financial year this will not update to be new financial year, this would be a manual process. If you would like a different file name i.e. update that year in your file name you would be looking at navigating to your Library location and renaming the company file within Windows Explorer.

Note: You may wish to go to Setup>>Company Information to ensure that that the Company Name in the file is set correctly as well.

Do let us know how you get on and if you require further assistance

Kind regards,
Steven
