We've just upgraded to Tax 2015 from the beta - and had the complete "all in one" package of upgrades - went with out a hitch. Well done.
When a client is closed in AE PM would it be possible (or is it possible) for AE PM to put a tick into the "Exclude from Rollover" box in the Return Properties - PAYG/Lodge tab - it is often overlooked by my team - obviously if we are closing the client we do not contemplate doing their return in the next year. Similarly, if the client is re-opened in AEPM the tick could be removed. This will help keep my database to a manageable size.
I have previously seen in the instructions that the tax returns will not be rollover if they are not "completed" in the last year - I have found that actually all returns (front covers anyway) rollover unless we delete the blank return or activate the "exclude" tick box -no matter what stage the previous year is in. As a result we have over 10,000 front covers a year rolling forward - we only have around 6,000 active clients. There was no option to exclude them with this years upgrade as the software took care of it.
