We run a MYOB AE server in Azure, which isn't capable of running console sessions. Currently we have a user running the CDS VizPost process inside their session as a workaround. Is there a way to get this process running without needing to run it inside a user session?

Normally you can have CDS VizPost running from startup on the server. If this has been tried and is still an issue, I would recommend giving Support a call on 1300 555 666.

Unfortunately VIZPOST can only run in a logged on session as it is essentially System Release running in a special mode for VIZPOST. When running on a server, we set it to auto login, start VIZPOST, then lock the user session. This way the process is automatic after a reboot, and doesn't require user interaction.
However, there is another option. If you use MAS or Client Accounting only for accounting, you can upgrade to PM Plus. This removes the VIZPOST routine completely, as the Tax contact information (CDS) is direct linked to Practice Manager, as opposed to synchronised. This can also be done if you use Accounts (the old Ceedata / Profiles product) however it has to be de-integrated from Practice Manager.
If you want to get PM Plus, please contact your account manager to arrange the upgrade. We have been upgrading all of our client sites. During the upgrade process we usually find there is a lot of mis-aligned data in the database and is a great opportunity to clean it up.
