Re: The bill's document style is not valid

Hi @Hanh,

This error means AE is unable to find the bill document style that was used to create the document. The bill styles are Microsoft Word document templates and are normally stored in your MYOB network drive. The most common locations we see are:

  • M:\VIZTemplates.
  • M:\VIPMINST\AEPMTemplates

However, to check the location go to Maintenance -> Documents -> Document Styles. This will list all the document sytles configured in AE and their location. Confirm the location of the document style used to create your bill, then confirm if you can access this path.

For instance, if had a document style called "Invoice" located at "M:\VPMINST\AEPMTemplates\Invoice.dot" confirm you can actually access this location (through My Computer or Windows Explorer). If it is a network drive, your network drive may have been disconnected. In which case, the simplest answer is usually just log off and back on to your workstation.

More information on troubleshooting document styles can be found in MYOB KB28839. Please ensure you have logged into my.myob.com.au portal before trying to access the KB article.

If you need anything further, please let me know.
