Re: My website cannot be found

Is this because I have changed my primary name to the .nz one please?  All I want is for when people go to the website that they see ".nz" as opposed to ".co.nz".  Can you help me please?

Re: My website cannot be found

Hi @Carter44

It appears the .nz domain is not pointing to the Atlas servers. Could you please check with the registrar of the .nz domain if it is pointing to our server?

See this link for more information about linked domains.

http://learningcentre.myobatlas.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/123

In the meantime change the primary domain back to .co.nz so the website is active.

Kind Regards,

Emile

Re: My website cannot be found

HI.  Thanks for your response.  Before I contact them can you please reassess this please, as everything was working perfectly.  I arranged for my .nz domain name to point to the myob about a week or so ago and that was running smoothly.  I explained to your other IT people a few days ago that I want visitors to the website to "see" .nz regardless of whether they type in .co.nz or .nz.   I was told to make the primary domain name .nz to make this happen.  Today I did that and now we can't see a website.  Perhaps I need to ask the .nz people to NOT point to MYOB??  Please advise.  Thank you.

Re: My website cannot be found

Hi @Carter44

Thanks for your update.

Please be advised the domain servers of doggytreats.nz is not pointing to Atlas. You can confirm & compare it with doggytreats.co.nz on NZ Registry website.

Once the servers are updated to Atlas servers then changing the domain to primary domain will work.

Please resend the email template you received when linking the domain to your domain registrar.

Let us know if you have any issues.

Kind Regards,

Kanchan

Re: My website cannot be found

I do not understand what you want me to do please?

Can you either provide me with the link OR should I contact the company hosting my .nz website and ask them to pint it to .co.nz?  Please advise urgently.

Re: My website cannot be found

Hi @Carter44

Please send the below template to your new registrar,

"I want to link my domain name "doggytreats.nz" to a website that I created with MYOB Atlas, so that the domain name points to this website, and so that I can create email addresses to match my domain name using the MYOB Atlas email forwarding feature. Could you please make the following DNS changes to my domain name:

Host: @
Record type: A
Values: 54.252.114.40
and 54.252.114.46 (If you can only point the A record to one of these IP addresses, you can point it to either one.)

Host: www
Record type: CNAME
Value:
doggytre.myob.net. (including the full stops)

Host: @
Record type: MX
Value: 5 mx01.myob.net.
and 5 mx02.myob.net. (including the full stops)

Please note that I don't want to transfer my domain name, redirect my domain name or change my domain name's name servers. I'd just like you to make the above DNS changes so that I can link my domain name to my MYOB Atlas website, so that the domain name points to this website, and so that I can create email addresses to match my domain name using the MYOB Atlas email forwarding feature.

Thank you."

Regards,

Kanchan
