Setup: User Accounts/restricting users

When I demonstrated LiveAccounts early on to an accounting firm I get referrals from the initital response was "What about User Accounts and restricted access"?  Any plans on this front?

Hi,

The ability to be able to change the users access would be much appreciated. If you have an office person who just does invoices or a payroll person who just does payroll, but limit them so they can not see financial reports such as P&L, balance sheet etc.

6 months  after the mod last commented, and this is still " under consideration " I know MYOB. Don't have the best reputation for customer service and support, but this is ridiculous! c'mon MYOB i have used your products since 2000 when I started work for myself, however I find that your products seem to regress rather than progress. Take a quick look at FLEETMATICS WORK app, this has the sort of functionality that I am looking for, except without the accounting aspect of it.

Thank you for your feedback and voting for this idea.

The normal process for an Idea posted on Ideas Exchange would go through a few stages. We would mark the post as "Under Consideration" and encourage users to vote and comment for this idea. If the idea does generate a number of votes and comments we mark it has high demand meaning we will investigate and attempt to implement that idea ahead of other ideas with lesser demand. 

As of 17/07/2015 the idea exchange have had 47 ideas implemented from it and some of the ideas have been marked as Planned.

We have a committee that require access to see how up to date the MYOB file is and look at Profit and Loss Reporting and how the group is tracking against the budget.  

They do not have extensive MYOB experience so we would like them to have Read Only Access so they cannot make any changes.

I have looked in your user options for Essentials and this is not available, can you please make this available ASAP.

I agree. There is no way to allow a user to view the file without giving them access to change/record transactions.

MYOB it astounds me that this thread has been going on for over a year and there still hasn't been a resolution. 

Its ts probably one of the most important features for our club. Since we have just signed up as of 1/10/2015 this is probably the most valuable add-on feature aside from basic accounting functions and we are still in a trial period. 

I highly recommend that you implement such a feature otherwise we will be looking elsewhere as it is critical that our committee can access MYOB with read-only (aside from making invoices). Xero already have such a feature in place and offer competitive pricing too.
