SINCE 2022 UPGRADE - Can no longer see the "contact person" under CONTACTS

Long time user.

 

Since upgrade of Essentials the other week.

 

I have a requirement (like many others) to send an invoice to a particular person, within a "company" to be paid.

 

You can no longer search by first and last name..this has VANISHED. (That is another issue and post here in MYOB Community)

 

However, in All Contacts. You can no longer see, or select a column that shows the "person" for that company.

 

Just useless columns like Contact ID..what the? no good if you can't search by it..and phone number?

 

Where is Contact Person gone?

 

When will it be re instated please?

 

At least if we have this option, hopefully we can generate an invoice from this screen.

 

Any one else have the same issue?

SINCE UPGRADE 2022 - Can not search first name or last name "Customer"

So 3 weeks now. Long time user, first time post.

been on phone for past 3 days no resolution. wasted over 12 hours trying to resolve

REQUIREMENT to send invoice to SPECIFIC PERSON (for approval) at "COMPANY".

I have like 30 contacts from same COMPANY..so don't know which to use. Can't find person.

 

Since updated webservice.. you can NO LONGER SEARCH BY PERSON's NAME just "COMPANY".

 

When will it revert to original settings?

What is a work around? until you fix it.

I survived Covid..now I can not send a single invoice.

ANY ONE ELSE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM??? Surely not just me.

I am unable to send ANY invoices to clients for payments. Clients getting very angry.

Very prompt help please.

Where was the beta testing before you forced us to use this..Why can't you roll me back to the old system that worked. Full of bugs throughout.

Hi @BikeHolden 

 

Thanks for your post. When you use the search bar it will only search for company name, not for any listed contact persons under this. I have passed your feedback on to the team for a future enhancement of the program.

 

Although I understand not ideal in your situation, in the meantime you could add the contact person name on the Business name field of the contact.

G'day Yanicke,

 

It is not an "enhancement" it is fixing what was working perfectly fine for the past 15 odd years.

 

Just get them to put it back so we can again search by first and last name. All the other Accounting packages does it too...aka Xero..

 

With over 1000 contacts..you cannot include the persons name in the "company name" as the Company has the ABN attached..not the "person name plus company" linked to ABN for tax and auditing. invoices get rejected. What about for statement issue..it has to go to the Authorised Person.

 

This is absolutely ludicrous. Sorry for my frustration..but long time supporter of MYOB looks like I am another one walking the plank to an alternative provider.

It is been some weeks now.

 

Has there been any progress or update of when MYOB will fix this issue and restore searching Company Contact first name and last name when generating an invoice?

 

It still has not been restored to the previous version.

Been some weeks since MYOB broke.

 

Just pinging to see if there is any further movement on restoring the function to search "contact" by First and/or last name as was on MYOB since it's inception..for "company"????

 

I currently have to search through my "sent" emails to find the person, open and old invoice..duplicate and re send with new date..that is the only way to send an email.

 

I can't be the only person on MYOB that issues an invoice to a particular "Contact" for approval and processing when using "Company"???

 

I look forward to hearing from you shortly.

& what happens when you send an invoice to a company - Company xyz - Michelle  ??!!
