Bank Transactions Not Accepting the account code and processing

Hi 

I am having trouble with the bank transactions not saving - . i am putting in the account code and saving but it wont save and reconcile, just keeps sitting there

Thanks for your post. I hope you're finding plenty of useful tips, advice and support on the community forum. 

 

Do you have any brower extensions such as add blockers that could be causing this? Alternatively you can try to clear your browser cache to see if that resolves the issue.

Hi Theresa

Thanks i have cleared the cache and it hasnt helped, also tried other browsers / turning off antivirus

Do you have any more suggestions??

I'm having exactly the same issue....!

 

Have tried two computers, 4 different browsers and I'm starting to get pretty annoyed.... is there a solution for this?

Hi @samanthad @JeffCriddle 

 

Are you trying to do several at once or one at a time? I would try doing just one to see if it's still happening.  Let me know how it goes and I'll look into this further.

Hi @samanthad 

 

Thanks for your patience as I had to do a bit of investigating to find out why this is happening.  This is something that has happened in the Essentials background where it accidentally repeated a number which already exists in the system.  This is fixable and should operate as normal once you do the following steps. 

 

   1.) Manually create a receive money or spend money transaction (reference links below), for the date and amount against the account you wanted the allocation.

 

Note:
Withdrawl ($) = Spend Money
Deposit ($) = Receive Money

   2.) Change the reference number of the transaction to be the next higher in the sequence. eg, if the Receive Money transaction number says RM000001, change this to RM000002.

   3.) Now match the bankfeed to this manually created transaction. (This should have now reset the reference number sequence.)

   4.) Continue to allocate the rest of your bank transactions as normal.
