My accountant wants to use General Journals to make an entry for "2-1800" = "Accounts Payable" but MYOB does not offer this account to select from.
Why not? How can adjustments be made on this account please?

Hi @GRNerd
A user should be able to select the Accounts Payable account for a journal entry if desired. If the account is not appearing in the list, I would navigate to that account in the Accounts list and ensure that it not marked as inactive.
I should point out that transactions directly to a linked account like the Accounts Payable account can lead to (payable) reconciliation trouble.
Kind regards,
Steven

Hi Steven
Thanks, Yes, I followed your advice and notice it is marked as inactive (and has the system padlock icon shown on it).
I have passed on teh advice of "Best not to mess with it" and my accountant has found another way to do the balancing that was required. Many thanks for your helpful reply.
