Importing Contact list

I have saved my contacts to the template downloaded and saved it as a text file, but when I choose this file to import it just hangs there and doesn't complete the import

Are you getting any errors at any point during the import? If so, please let me know. Ensure that all steps have been followed in this Help Article about importing contacts in Essentials, including the note about not deleting any unused columns, and ensuring there is a *space* in place of any Tax ID fields which may not have a corresponding Tax ID to fill in. Import templates can be very particular and sometimes the odd symbol or unnecessary space can throw things off, so be meticulous in adding your own data to the template. 

 

That said, those mistakes generally produce an error. Are you getting a time-out message, a spinning wheel, or anything else while you are trying to import?
