Should the Kiwisaver Contributions Holiday Expiry Date remove the Contributions Holiday tick and resume contributions? At the moment, the date arrives and the KS pay type remains as OLD and the tick stays on the Contributions Holiday. I cannot find a report that shows the contributions holiday expiry date. The only way I can see to handle this is by putting a reminder in and running reminder reports. Makes the expiry date redundant. Is there any point to it other than information if you happen to be looking for it? Surely it should resume the KS, or, at least, signal a reminder when it expires? Also, there is no Submit an Idea for Payroll.

Hello @Colleen
The Kiwisaver Contributions Holiday Expiry Date does not remove on its own, you need to set a reminder for that employee and remove it when the date is up. This date field is to stop the Kiwisaver from populating for that pay. You need to remove the date to start the kiwisaver again.
The Payroll is included in AccountRight ideas Exchange, posting your idea will still get to the developers.
Please do not hesitate to get back in contact with us if you need anything else.
Kind regards,
Kat

Hi @KattC
re NZ Payroll - are the programmers aware that the contributions holiday expiry date will not take a date past 31/12/2019.
We received a contributions holiday expiry date of 2020 from the IRD the other day and it wouldn't work.

Your comment implies that this field is a 'From' Date but it is clearly worded as a 'To' Date as you have acknowledged as such in your comment to Jennie below.
It doesn't matter how far in the future you put a date in the box, the Kiwisaver pay type becomes OLD and the contribution stops immediately.
I will use the AccountRight Ideas area to continue this discussion.
