Hi there
I made a mistake on a team members employer contribution percentage. It should have been 4% but it was loaded at 1%, how do I apply the extra 3% that he is owed in his next pay.
Look forward to your reply

Hello @darnielle
In regards to changing the percentage of the kiwi saver on the employees pay processed in error. You cannot change the amount in the next pay due to the kiwi saver pay code calculation will not allow this.
You have two options: 1 you can restore a backup and re process every ones pays making sure this one is sitting at 4% before you begin OR 2 you can do a reverse pay and only reverse that employee in question. Using a reversal will put the balances back to what they were before this pay was processed. You then can re-create the correct pay on the same day and provide a new payslip to show the correction.
Kind regards,
Kat

HI Kat
This is not kiwisaver, it's a Craigs Super fund that we create the paycode.

Hello @darnielle
Thank you for the update in regards to the Superannuation.
The method is still the same, you will need to either reverse the employees pay or restore a backup.
The reason this needs to be done is overtyping the amount in the process pay will put the tables out in the background, because the employer part is based on a percentage not a dollar amount. Therefor the payroll file will produce an out of balance.
Do not hesitate to contact us again if you need to.
Kind regards,
Kat

Hi Kat
I wouldn't overtype the dollar amount, I can go into the background of the employer percentage and change that?

Hello @darnielle
Changing the percentage won't affect pays that have already been recorded. It will just change the rate to be used in future pays.
