Re: Where are the new tax tables?

Hello @coptic ,

Before we get to the fix, lets make sure the setup process is out of the way:

1- In order to load the tax tables, we need to make sure under Help > About MYOB it shows as v2019.2.1 as the product instead of v2019.2.
2- INorder to load the latest tax tables, the software requires you to be in the 2020 payroll year. So if we can check under Setup > General Payroll information > *the current payroll year end date needs to be june 2020*.

Once you have checked that all of the above is correct. The most likely cause of this issue is a corrupt pay.2myob.bin file. (this is a file that installs with the new version of MYOB).

This issue can be fixed by uninstalling your current MYOB software. Deleting an uninstallation folder as i will describe below and then reintalling the new version of MYOB again.

Please follow the steps below to rectify the issue:

Resolution

If you've loaded the tax tables but the Tax Table Revision Date still shows Previous revision date make sure you're using the latest update(go to the Help menu and choose About AccountRight).

If AccountRight is up to date and you've loaded the tax tables but the Tax Table Revision Date still isn't updating, complete the following:

  1. Uninstall AccountRight.
    1. Access the list of programs that are installed on your computer.

      If using
      Do this
Windows 8 or 10 Right-click in the screen's bottom-left corner and choose Programs and Features.
Windows 7 Click the Windows Start button and choose Control Panel then choose Programs and Features.
    2. Click the AccountRight software you want to uninstall then click Uninstall. In some Windows versions this may appear as Change/Uninstall.

    3. Click through any confirmation windows, and click Yes to wanting to completely remove the selected application and all of its components.

  2. Delete the 2019.2 folder from C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\MYOB\AccountRight
    1. Simultaneously press the Windows and E keys on your keyboard to open Windows Explorer (or File Explorer).
    2. In the address bar (at the top of the window) type %localappdata% and press Enter on your keyboard.
      Image
    3. Double-click to open the MYOB folder.
    4. Double-click to open the AccountRight folder.
    5. Right-click the 201x.x  folder and choose Delete then click Yes to confirm.
  3. Reinstall AccountRight by downloading the newest version of MYOB from the link below:
    https://www.myob.com/au/support/downloads
  4. Load the tax tables as described above.

Re: Where are the new tax tables?

Thank-you for your response. 1 & 2 correct.

Our IT went through the uninstall & reinstall, but still get same message. Have had to copy old pay.2myob.bin file from 2018.2. Will have to leave it at that to et throught today's payroll. According to ATO, no changes to tax rates anyway.
