Customer credit now a donation

We are a NFP organistion and one of our customers has donated the credit they had on file. How do I record this? I cannot process a refund as the money is staying in our account.

    Hi jggreen 

     

    Thanks for your post. You could process a refund and change the Account to a suspense account. Then record a Receive Money transaction and change the Deposit to Account to the suspense account and allocate the amount to the donations account.
