Asking for a friend using Accountright Live. After recording a payroll, but before sending the STP report to the ATO, my friend noticed he had accidentally paid 2 employees (casual) who didn't work that week. He deleted their pays, but of course now the STP report is in the "not sent" category, with the original pay details. What can he do to make sure the ATO get the right STP info?

As STP sends the most current YTD information, the accurate figures will be reported on your next pay run. However, if it is preferrable to get the figures updated before the next pay run, a $0 pay will do the trick. This will push the changes through STP and will reflect most current YTD figures. This article will walk you through $0 pay, but please let me know if you have any further questions.
