Casual and Part-time

Hi there

Is is possible to have an employee set up as both a casual and as a part-time employee in the same pay run?  For example if someone has ordinary hours as per their contract, but is also engaged separately in a different role for a few hours in the same pay cycle?

Hi @LaniOUP 

 

You could create a different payroll category for the casual rate, just make sure you exempt it from accruing leave - Payroll categories

I'm not sure you can exempt a payroll category from accruing leave?  I know I can exempt employees from accruing entitlements, but not sure how to do an actual category?

Hi @LaniOUP 

 

 

You can exempt the casual payroll category from accruing leave the same way you would exempt overtime.

 

Clicking on ‘wages’ in the above link gives you this info on exempting leave accrual:
