STP Finalisation - Phase 2 - Should Other Leave be included in Gross YTD?

We have moved to STP phase 2 so other paid leave is reported to the ATO. The gross wages per the payroll activity report match the sum of gross payment plus other paid leave ATO reporting categories per the verification report.

Is it correct that the EOFY finalisation tab only shows the gross YTD for each employee excluding the other paid leave? Or is Gross YTD just the ordinary times earnings excluding leave. The summary of payments report includes gross wages and separately other paid leave.

Re: STP Finalisation - Phase 2 - Should Other Leave be included in Gross YTD?

Hi @PR26

Thanks for your post. YTD amounts are reported to the ATO through STP according to the ATO reporting category assigned to the pay item. In Phase 2, the ATO have added more ATO reporting categories so amounts that were included in Gross payments in Phase 1 will be reported separately in Phase 2. The post, What's different in STP Phase 2 reporting, has more information.

It's the YTD verification report and Summary of payment reports that are sent to the ATO so you need to make sure the figures in these reports are correct and reconcile with the AccountRight reports.
