Ideas to improve MYOB for employee cards:
- Is it possible (for casual employees) to not have to include 'Hours in Monthly Pay Period' when settingthem up in MYOB? We have casuals who do not work set hours each month. Their hours change. We set the 'Hours in Monthly Pay Period' 0.01 - but this means that for every person there is always a default amount that is included in their pay. it is small but adds up over time. Ideally MYOB would not require anything for casual employees.
- Can you make it possible to remove payroll categories from an employees card even if that category has been previously used in a payrun. There are times when we use a payroll category for a single pay but then can not remove it for the next pay and the payslip will show the redundant payroll category with no information. It can cause issues and means there can by mistakes made with payroll processing each month as people assume their is data missing. Only the relevant payroll categories for that pay should be selected.
- There needs to be a better standard Payslip. The one available is not useful and looks very unprofessional. While we can customise, the ability to include all the fields we would like and to set it up in a way that looks professional is very times consuming and difficult. We have had to create various customised payslips depending on the type of employee. When customising payslips, we want to show amounts distributed to bank accounts - however MYOB will not round the dollar amount to 2 decimal places (requiring some very fiddly manipulation of the field in the template if we don't want the payslip to look unprofessional).
- the instructions for setting up STP2 need to better articluate how to set up salary sacrifice arrangements that fir in the 'Other' category. As they are written it is easy to assume that vehicle leases would go under 'not reportable'.
