Hi all,

 

Wow, it’s been an absolutely massive week here at MYOB.

 

We kicked off the week with the launch of MYOB Essentials. We hope you are enjoying the modern new look and taking advantage of its great support for mobile devices. Of course, the launch is just the beginning. We’ll have news of a lot of enhancements for Essentials very soon. Stay tuned to The MYOB Essentials Blog for all the latest announcements.

 

On Wednesday we launched MYOB PayDirect, an exciting mobile payments service that helps you get paid faster and easier. If you’d like to learn more, a great place to start is our introductory videos.  

 

For AccountRight users, the new 2014.1 update has been released ahead of schedule and is now available to all via my.myob. We hope you all notice the super-quick install time. As mentioned last week, the other enhancements include the number one request on the AccountRight Idea Exchange. Keep those great ideas coming in, our product managers really value your feedback and use it to help prioritise their work.

 

Here on the Community Forum we hope you are enjoying the enhancements to the forum that we rolled out last Sunday night.

 

ForumBadges.gifPartnerBadges.gifI’m sure you’ve all noticed our funky new ranks and badges. The ranks (in order of status) are Contributing, Experienced, Trusted, Valued, Super and Ultimate. Remember if you want to level up and earn a new badge, it will depend on how many posts you have made, how many Accepted Solutions you have authored, and how long you have been a member of the Community.

 

We also now have a new component on the front page called My Favourite Boards. The addition lets you navigate to your most commonly-used boards with ease. Adding boards to your list, as well as arranging them in any order you like, is also very quick and easy. You can find directions on our Forum Help page.

 

We've also created a new page that only lists unanswered posts (new threads that are yet to have any replies). You can find it at http://community.myob.com/t5/custom/page/page-id/UnansweredPosts

 

You might also have noticed this week that older posts on the Community Forum are now automatically archived. On these older posts the Reply buttons do not appear and you will see the following message at the top of the screen - "This thread is now archived and closed to new comments. If you have a question please post a new topic."

 

We automatically archive old posts because we are continually updating our software and the information contained in the thread may no longer be relevant to the latest version. You are also much more likely to get a prompt reply if you create a new thread. If you have a question, please create a new thread by clicking the "Post New Topic" or "New Message" buttons. New threads are much more visible to other users and MYOB staff, ensuring you are much more likely to receive a prompt reply.

 

Speaking of prompt replies, it’s also been another very busy week on the Community Forum, with over 300 new members joining the community and a whopping 750 posts submitted, including 160 from MYOB staff.

 

Our leading contributors this week were @TonyLane, @ronatbas, @The_Doc, @Geoff_ and @jenniek.

 

Special kudos to @TonyLane who had a massive eight posts marked as solutions.
