bankfile in wrong format

Hi,

I alwasy select direct entry/pay anyone and the file will say 'electronic payment'. This time it is just letters and numbers and says it is in the wrong format. I ahve deleted the pay run and re done it to no avail. Any assistance appreciated.

    Hi Elzakelo 

     

    Thank you for your post. In Australia, Electronic bank files are prepared using the Australian Bankers’ Association (ABA) file format. If after downloading it, you have tried to open it in another program, it might have trouble interpreting the information and if you try to view it, it may not be readable. 

     

    I recommend recreating the bank file, then don't try to open it, but try uploading it to your bank in the current format.

     

    Let me know how you get on, and if you still have issues if you could provide the exact error message.
