JobMaker declaration

I have made  a Jobmaker declaration but my accountant looking on the ATO portal says “ THE 20 HOURS WORKED OR PAID IS NOT PROVIDED” The declaration was made on the 7th July. Is there a way of telling if the declaration was flawed?

Re: JobMaker declaration

Hi @Marc

Thanks for your post. Can I confirm that pays have been processed and declared for that period? It might also be worth a call to the ATO to find out exactly what the issue is. I found this information on the ATO website which may help.

Please let me know how you go with this.

Re: JobMaker declaration

Hi Tracey,

Thanks for reply.

Yes pays have been processed and declared for the period.

From the ATO link you included - I think our accountant is looking in the right spot. We successfulled nominated and declared for an earlier period.

Re: JobMaker declaration

Hi @Marc

From a software perspective if you can see the declaration date then the employee's declaration has been successful. I can't find any information on the ATO website about that specific error your accountant is seeing. I would recommend checking with the ATO as to the exact issue and how it needs to be resolved.

If that needs to be done through your software please let me know and I'll be happy to help.

Re: JobMaker declaration

Hi Tracey,

I sent my accountant your comments and a screenshot of the Jobmaker Declaration and he asked

"Looking at your email below the nomination is for 7/01/21- 06/04/21

Is there an option in the software  to make same election for the next period being 07/04/21- 06/07/21? i.e the next period we are claiming?"

Is that possible?

Cheers,

Marc

Re: JobMaker declaration

Tracey,

I have spoken to the ATO. I need to change the Allowance code to Period 3,  7/4/21 to 6/7/21, JMHC-P03.

When I made my declaration it had Allowance - Other (JMHC-P02)

I can't see where the the P02 allowance was created and I can't see how to make a P03 allowance. Do I have to make a newe payroll category? How do I stop the P02 being reported?

Re: JobMaker declaration

Hi @Marc

You can't claim for a period until the Claim period for that JobMaker period, confused yet? So JobMaker period 3 is 7 April - 6 July, you can claim for that period from 1 August - 31 October. From the 1 August you'll be able to claim for period 3 in the JobMaker tab.

This is from the ATO website:

This help article goes through how you can remove a declaration: Handling JobMaker

Please let me know if you need further help

Re: JobMaker declaration

Hi @JDRI

Can you please clarify which error message you are receiving? Have you nominated your employees in the JobMaker tab?

Tracey

Re: JobMaker declaration

Hi

Thank you for your reply

On the ATO site I am told Incomplete, the date of birth, commencment date or 20 hour declaration has not been reported.

I have nominated / declared a number of times and even recorded zero pay cheques then updated as per online instruction from MYOB.

I spoke to the ATO and they say that the code is incorrect for period 3 and have given me the code as per their table to enter.

There is no where in MYOB to enter this.

I am holding on the phone now, 2 hours and 14 minutes so far for MYOB help but am being passed from rep to rep.

Regards
