Length limit on employee card - first name field

Hi,

We have a new staff member who has three names as a legal first name. MYOB only allows 20 characters in this field. Is there any way to get around this as I need to add one more character to have the correct legal name displayed for STP purposes.

There isn't a way to alter the word limit for the first name. I would suggest passing on this feedback here.

You will need to speak to your accountant on the correct way to enter the name in this case whether it be entering just the first of the three legal names or if you split it across both the first and last name fields within AccountRight, but you would need to get confirmation from your accountant on the way to proceed with a name which is too long to enter in.
