Payroll Categories appearing out of order on payslips

Am thinking a relatively simple solution to the Payroll Categories appearing "randomly" under the "Description" heading on the payslips, would be to have a column in the Categories section called "Order on Payslip" that requires the user to number each category, as they wish them to appear from first to last, surely this wouldn't be too hard to write as a software fix do you think ?
