Select employees gross wages not showing in YTD finalisation

3 of 7 employees' gross wages do not appear in finalisation report.  The three employees earned less than $450 per week.  Two are under 18.  The gross wages were "accepted" by ato, no tax withheld, no superannuation accrued.  The gross wages do not appear in the YTD finalisation report for these three temporary staff.  Checked payroll details and they are correct.  Checked payroll category and Gross Wages is selected.

MYOB reports are correct.  STP reporting YTD finalisation is short.  Any suggestions why these gross wages aren't included?

Re: Select employees gross wages not showing in YTD finalisation

Hi @FASOLA

Thanks for your post. Process a $0 pay for those 3 employees with the payment date as 30 June, wait until that report has been accepted and then recheck the YTD verification report.

If the employees were terminated you'll need to remove their termination dates and make their cards active before processing the $0 pays. Once their YTD amounts are reported correctly in STP you can re-enter the termination dates and make the cards inactive.

Please let me know if you need further help.

Re: Select employees gross wages not showing in YTD finalisation

Hi,

I had the same problem but had sent finalisation report. I am now removing finalisation and have done what you suggested above. I will resend finalisation if the amounts end up balancing, which I highly doubt!

My question to MYOB is, why would we need to do this? It is not right that these amounts are not automatically included. STP is meant to make our jobs easier. If this is a MYOB gliche then it should have been fixed in an update prior to EOFY. I have tried running the verification report again, after following you method, and it is still omitting the employe who earned less than $450, gross YTD for the financial year. The employee has been set up correctly so this should not be happening!

Re: Select employees gross wages not showing in YTD finalisation

Thanks Christine,

I agree. The employees earning less than $450, their gross wages didn't show up in totals although showing "accepted" and listed on the report.  I spent a couple hours tracking problem, isolating, checking that employees were entered correctly, sending nil payslips, active vs inactive.  Yikes.  On the next day, I sent nil payslips and totals finally matched.  Can't explain it, but frustrating.
