Stock on Hand qty not correct
Hi, I hope someone can assist me with my Item Stock on Hand balance please. I set up a new item in May-23 and entered an initial purchase with qty 40,000 which shows correctly in the Items Register [Detail] report, with an on hand qty 50,800 (Scan1). When I look at the Item Information it is showing only 800 QoH (Scan2) and I can't process an adjustment to reduce total by 3,000 used. I don't understand where the 800 QoH figure is coming from, any ideas please? The value of the asset account for stock appears to be correct but the On Hand count in the Inventory Value Reconciliation also shows qty 800 for this item. Thank you.Stock quantity discrepancies
I have a number of imported items that we purchase separately, however they are combined together and coded with a new item number so when we sell them we can sell them as a complete item. This has led to some discrepancies with how many items we actually do have in stock compared to what is showing on our MYOB inventory system. As can be seen in the attached screenshot, we have a Freight price allocated to the item number 41, plus we have a Item build or item cost also allocated for item number 41, then finally item 41 itself. The reason for this is because we are responsible for our own freight from the international supplier, so when placing orders for items we place 1 PO with the manufacturer, and another with the freight company. How can I rectify these numbers?MYOB Offer Poor Support
Frankly I am just looking to vent. The support I receive from MYOB is always terrible. When you finally get through, the people you talk to are horribly under-equiped to answer the questions/solve problems. In one case I had a MYOB bug that I needed to deal with. The first time i had the problem, they fixed my transactions. The next time - bad luck, your system is always going to reflect inaccurate information. I have already started migrating one of my company files to Quick Books, and the support I have received from them has been exceptional. I have already run MYOB and Quick Books in parallel for one quarter and successfully matched, and I am about to reconcile the 2nd quarter. Assuming both sets of books matched again, I will be closing one MYOB file and in all likelihood will start runing my other company file in parallel with Quickbooks shortly after. I have been with MYOB since 2010 and their support has steadily and surely become worse. I am amused by the fact that after MYOB have provided support assistance they send you a "MYOBelieve you can DIY!" email, when their own support people flounded with the problem. I made a support call yesterday where I spent over an hour on the phone and eventually got some glib advice about how to solve the problem (after the support person had to call for advice). Interestingly, I went to see my Accountant's MYOB person today, and they not only suggested in a few moments what the MYOB people took me an hour to get to yeterday, but also showed me a much better way to correct the transactions in question. I really would prefer to stay with MYOB. They know and I know, most people will put up with poor service, because it is too hard to change their accounting software - which is exactly what I did. It gets to the point where staying makes no sense staying though, and it is now worth the pain of migrating.410Views3likes7Commentsopening myob - states backup in progress
Hello I am unable to login to MYOB due to the error message 'Backup in progress This company file is currently backing up You can sign on once the backup is complete.' The backup appears to be frozen. Can you please reset our file to active to enable login. Thanks AlisonSolved242Views0likes5CommentsBrowser capabilities
Hi there, total newbie here. I currently do invoicing for a family member's business and they have just transitioned to MYOB. As I do this remotely, I do not have access to the desktop application. I am also a Mac user. I assumed it would be straightforward for me to access their account via browser as MYOB states "manage your business on any device". I was provided with some instructions from the business but the information relates to the desktop version which seems very different to the browser. Eg. Select Sales tab Enter Sales New Sale Record Sales Register On the browser version, I've clicked on > Create > Sales > Invoice which I assumed is what I need to get into to start an invoice/sale. When I open that I get the message "This invoice is read only because the layout isn't supported in the browser. Switch to AccountRight desktop to edit this invoice.". Is it correct that I cannot use this function/create invoices while on the browser? If so, that's very odd for something that claims to "manage your business on any device". I just want to have access to create invoices for the business, nothing further. If I cannot use the browser, what is the recommendation / process for getting the desktop version on my computer. Thank you kindly.Employee Self-Onboarding issue
I'm having issues with a employee when I send the invite for self on boarding. I send them the invite MYOB states the employee card has been created and onboarding invite sent. Problem is no card is created no invite is sent I have tried this now several times over a week. This particular employ has 4 "inactive" cards as they have worked for me previously left then come back again (the jobs seasonal). Anyone have any ideas what the problem may be?3Views0likes0CommentsReverse sale?
Hello. I have open invoices dating back to 2017 that I know will never be paid. How do I remove or reverse them so they are no longer showing on my system? I tried to "reverse transaction" option by right clicking near the date, then clicked "record reversal" but it remains in my Open Invoices. I am an administrator with full access and the file has been locked from the last financial year
