Hi

can you give me the information as to how I succesfully go back into a backed up file on my seagate hard drive from -ie 2014-2015 yr end 

so i can see Invoices etc from within that year. 

When i do what I think ,it says the path way is too long. I dont believe I am retreiving this correctly.

Hi @Marcon

Your company file is an .myo file. Your backup is a .zip file with the .myo file compressed inside.  When restoring a backup using AE, you need to take care that you do not override your existing file, so take care with filename and location. AE also has max path sizes and max filename sizes. 

You may need to:

• copy the backup to a different location, for example desktop, then restore and/or
• restore to a different location, for example desktop or
• unzip the backup first and then Browse to select the .myo file

Give the restored file a shorter filename.
