BASLink Error related to pre-conver periods

Hi there,

I am trying to use BASLink first time and though I have data recorded from 01st July, 2015 and I am selecting Sep for FY 15, however I get an error saying;

BASLink information is unable to be produced for pre-conversion, pre-purge or pre-finacial year periods.

Can anyone please help me with this.

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find it a wealth of knowledge. If you do have enquires don't hesitate to post them so the MYOB Community can assist.

I would recommend selecting BAS Info in the top left of that Prepare Statement window and make sure that you have the appropriate settings. In particular the GST reporting frequency, as by default this is set to be Annually. So when you create a new company file with a conversion date to be July for example it will try to run it for January to December (in your case), which the period of January to June is before the conversion month and will generate the error.

I called support and apparently it was some error from MYOB side which has now been fixed.
