Hi
I have the same error as another user.
Sometime during March 2024 an opening balance appeared in Historical Balancing Account.
My Balance Sheet is now out by this amount.
How do I remove?

Thanks for responding so promptly. I try for me it didnt work. Not sure adding $1 for account that already have '0' balance and then removing can sorted out other account with historical balance. Regards,

I was skeptical too.
I used an account that hadn't been used for a few years to put the $1 in.
Really don't know how it worked either.
Just assumed it must have caused a 'reset' of some kind.

Hi @Yelka
The issue is whether the Balance Sheet balances or not. If the Balance Sheet balances, then the Historical Balance was deliberately set (by someone) and should be corrected under Setup > Balances > Account Opening Balances.
If the balance sheet is out of balance by the Historical balance amount and the fix suggested does not fix it, the file will need to be repaired by MYOB or others such as MYOX Services.
What causes Historical Balance errors is when someone plays with the Accounts List, changing accounts from Header Accounts to Details Accounts and vice versa. AR2024 does not handle these changes correctly.

Gavin

Hi @Yelka,
Thank you for your post, and welcome to the Community Forum!
Usually, a quick refresh of the historical balance sheet can do the trick when the balance sheet seems a bit off. This simple step has been a lifesaver for many users facing the same issue. However, if you've already given this a shot and it hasn't quite resolved the issue, feel free to send us your balance sheet via private message, and we'll gladly dive deeper into the matter to assist you further.
Feel free to respond, or for immediate assistance, you can also reach out to our virtual assistant, MOCA, on our website. You can also submit a support request via My Account.
And I'd also like to thank you, @gavin12345, for your prompt response.
Cheers,
Princess
