Wrong payroll category selected

Hi,

I have an employee whom I've just noticed that his superannuation has been going to the PAYG Withholding Payable account instead of the Superannuation Payable account.
I have fixed the Superannuation category so that it now goes to the correct account, but how can I fix the transactions already processed (employee hasn't been here long, so only a couple of months transactions to fix)?

Sorry for the delay in replying to you. You've got a couple of options to fix this:

 

  1. reverse and reprocess the pays that went to the wrong account
  2. record a journal to transfer the super amount from the PAYG payable account to the super payable account. Before doing this I'd recommend checking with your accountant and reconciling those two accounts. I used to reconcile them in the Reconcile accounts window as it's an easy way to pick up any errors.
