Error in posting stock adjustments

Myob is automatically posting the DR & CR to the asset for SOH, making the stock value per the inventory module differ form the general ledger balance, how do I correct this?

My accountant has suggested I post the value as 0.00 but then the writeoff expense is only showing "0" instead of the cost.

Surely the value of goods on hand should decrease with write offs.

Any suggestions please

Re: Error in posting stock adjustments

Hi @Officechick , the account number on the inventory journal transaction line should never be the asset account, but a cost of sale account such as inventory adjustments. If you correct the adjustments you have made they will post correctly.
