Over Christmas period I do payroll in advance as I have only salary employees. With the current Payday Super setup in MYOB, super will be paid before staff get paid! There is currently no option to choose a future date to process and pay super. This is pretty vital as it makes no sense to not be able to choose a payment date and super being paid in advance of actual payday.
Payday Super - being able to choose date of payment

I have just made a similar comment on the forum. We pay weekly, and have an extended Christmas closure. We normally program payments through our bank and process through MYOB when we return in the new year. Cashflow does not allow us to pay it all before our closure. There must be many others with a similar problem. Being able to future date the super payment would be a logical option. Hope this idea gains some traction.

I would like to support the option to select future date to process and pay super. Our business basically shuts down during Christmas. Prior to the office shutdown, we normally process the payroll in MYOB for those future dates and schedule the payments ahead via our banking platform. I am sure many more businesses have this similar arrangement. If this option to select payment date is not available, it would not be feasible to use this feature -MYOB Payday Super and will need to rely on other super clearing house.

Also support MYOB changes to be able to set the date in advance. Working for small operators, it means that I need to set up the payroll in advance when I'm on holidays. With no way of future dating for super, I have been approving and sending on my return (not ideal). Once the rules change, I will have to either pay super in advance or login regularly and have 2FA available to me while I'm on leave to make sure we remain compliant.

We often set up our payroll in advance - being able to set the date of super pay day is ESSENTIAL!

I support being able to post date payday super payments. What happens when payroll officer is on long service leave. Pays can be processed in advance, why not PAYDAY super.

I thought the same, as we were paying super quarterly.
However, I've been practicing for the last 3 fortnights and it's so easy. I was impressed.
But the date for super payment can't be authorized in advance. They sweep the money from your account the day authorized, not the day you specify.
This makes it awkward when on holidays. Out of town. etc.
MYOB need to fix this.

I'm 100% in agreement with this, myself being a very small operator who on occasions goes very remote on holidays with no internet access. The need to be able to schedule pay super dates is essential, in the same way wages can be scheduled. I can imagine many more others are in a similar situation, not just the 9 commenters above.

Further to this suggestion - WHY doesn't the system have the linked bank account pre-set so the client, doesn't need to choose the correct account for each super payment.
This seems to leave it open for error.

Hoping someone can help answer my question....
We are a small business of only 2 employees. We pay ourselves weekly as scheduled payments to our bank account, however I process the pays and pay the super through AccountRight monthly (end of month) every month. Do I need to change my processes and start processing the pay and paying the super weekly? Am hoping not :(
