Get Statement: Allocate multiple lines using Add Transaction
When importing a statement from the bank - or - from the PayPal site, we find that we have many items - eg PayPal fees that we need to reconcile on a per transaction basis. This forces us to select each item - PayPal fee - assign it to the Expense Account - PayPal fee and then do the same again - for the next item - again PayPal fee. The same happens when you receive income - PayPal sale. So if we have 300 sales in a month - we have to select each sale - and assign it to the Sales account - around 900 mouse clicks - 1 mouse click to select the Sale, 1 mouse click to assign the sale to the sales account, 1 mouse click to complete the assignment - total number of clicks 3 - for the 1 x sale. As each sale - has a PayPal fee - the same number of clicks - 900 - needs to be made for the PayPal fee incurred for the sale. So for the month you will incur 1800 - mouse clicks to complete my reconciliation for PayPal. What would be ideal - is to be able to flag all of my PayPal fees - 300 - with one click at the top of the screen, and assign them all to the PayPal expense account - 2 clicks and complete. The same to occur - when PayPal sales - 300 of these - one click to select them all - and a second click to assign them to the Sales - Online - account. 4 clicks and I am reconciled.. I have a number of client who need to reconcile large volumes of transactions (i.e. that are imported from front end systems). It would be really useful for these clients to be able to have the "memo" field for each line entry (not just the card name) also showing in the bank reconciliation screen. The workaround is to print a customised report with the information on it and then they try and cross check to the screen - its a bit painful. This could possibly be an optional feature in the setup/preferences area? Anyone else in a similar situation and think this would be useful? Hi, I am new in MyOb as well new in my org. My org is using AccountRight. I am facing problem to match two payments against single payroll transaction. We pay to the employee weekly (sort of advance). For example. We paid $700 to an employee on Friday for one week (lets date is 25/02/2022). On Monday (28/02/2022) we posted/processed the payroll including 8 hrs of overtime. So JV is like (considering there is no tax) Salary DR 700 Overtime DR 150 Bank CR 850 On 25th Feb I have already transferred 700, so on 28th Feb I have just transferred the remaining 150. Now, Bank feed showing two payments (700 & 150) but payroll transaction showing one payment from bank i.e 850. How can I match and allocate through bankfeed? I have just started a new job. I have in front of me the the last bank statement that was reconciled before I started. I have now gone to reconcile the next bank statement BUT there are entries still showing in the MYOB "reconcile accounts" window that were previously reconcilled - I do not believe they are double entries? What might be going on? Does anyone have any suggestions please? Cheers Ruth :)Solved1.4KViews0likes3CommentsReconciling Bank Statement
We had an invoice entered months ago that we set up a monthly automatic payment for through the bank. So monthly I choose 'pay bills' and enter the amount to be taken off the invoice then record. The last automatic payment went out incorrectly, should've been a lesser figure. The company has reimbursed us the difference. What i'm wanting to know is how to rectify this situation in accountright. How do I process both the payment out which is more than the balance of invoice of course. Then also receipt the money back. Hope this makes sense! Thanks for your help.Solved1.1KViews0likes2CommentsBank Reconciliation - Calculated closing balance problem
I have recently set up MYOB Business Litefor a small non-profit. The previous Treasurer of the organisation was maintaining handwritten books. I have encountered what appears to be an error with the calculated closing balance of a bank account. The non-profit opened and deposited $141.50 into a bank account on 16/11/2018. Accordingly, after entering the deposit as Receive Money, the calculated bank balance for 16/11/2018 should be $141.50. However, MYOB is presenting a calculated closing balance of-$8,958.14. I need to figure out why it is doing this and fix it. It is stopping me from being able to reconcile the bank account.Solved1.1KViews0likes3CommentsBank reconciliation report for 30th June shows incorrect outstanding amounts
Hi, I want to print out bank reconciliation reports for 30th June. I reconcile regularly and two of the accounts are showing incorrect 'Expected Balance on Statement'amounts. The 'Accountright balance on 30.06.20' is correct, but MYOB is showing showing cheques and deposits as being outstanding and then adding and subtracting them from that Accountright balance. The amounts have been reconciled though, and aren't outstanding. I've never seen this before, is it happening to anyone else? Is it possible that it's because the account was not actually physically reconciledON 30th June? If so, why? Thanks for your help :)Solved960Views0likes2CommentsReconciliation Reports [Detailed] with Cleared Cheques
Hello, I was running some reconciliation reports from the Reports>Banking>Reconciliation Report section and noticed that these reports only show the outstanding amounts and not the cleared cheques like the report that is accessible when the account is reconciled (when you click reconcile, a window pops up and gives the option to print the report or reconcile). Is there anywhere I can run a detailed report without having to undo the reconciilatons and redo them? Thank you.Solved839Views0likes1Comment
