I recommend having a look at our help article Unable to open Payroll, or errors "1976" or "114". This article steps through what you need to do to overcome the error 114.

Thansk for the reply but I cannot even get to the 'welcome page'. I click on the Payroll App and it goes straight to the error message. I have deleted and reinstalled the App, then restarted my computer, but the same error messages, thanks

Hi @WaimeaJenny
You will need to remove your data folder first. - normally found in C:\Users\public\data\myob\payroll - and will be a folder named Payroll1 or the name you gave it when the file was created. Once this is removed (drag it out to the desktop) - then you should be able to open payroll and create a new payroll and restore you backup in to it.
