installation of MYOB AE 5.4.42 ANZ lite installer.exe

Installation is halted with the message: \\desktop xxxxx\registration\MYOBAE are in use

  • Before installing make sure no users are logged in, restart the machine & disable AV.

     

    If this is for the file AERego.exe, I've been running into it for years.  At your own risk:

    Spoiler
    1. In that same registration folder there are 2 files: MRego.dll and MRego64.dll
    2. Rename them
    3. Run the Install
    4. If the files are not recreated, restore their original names
