MYOB.AccountRight.API.AddOnConnector.exe

Question

I believe this addon is part of MYOB Account Right and used for special plugins that may be added by the users.&nbsp; We do not use anything&nbsp; and just run the "plain vanilla" version and when upgrading just now to the latest 2020 version, my AV wanted to block this as potential malware.&nbsp; I understand that this would be a false positive but upon looking for information on this add on I wonder if there is any reason not to disable this if you don't have any plug ins that rely on it.&nbsp;

Generally, an AddOn Connector is only required if you connect third party softwares with AccountRight. However, as you mentioned that you have never used it, you can simply cancel it's installation as it would not have any impact on AccountRight's installation and the way it works.

Hi Komal,&nbsp;thanks for your reply - the issue is that it's already installed . I wonder if I can remove this component and if so, how? If that is not possible, can I at least turn the automatic start-up for this program component off?CheersTom

If it's already installed, it would be available in Programs &amp; Features in Control Panel under the name "MYOB AccountRight API" and you can uninstall it from there.
Alternatively, automatic startup can be stopped by running services.msc, and then disabling MYOB AccountRight API service.&nbsp;
