Solution Consulting - May 2024 Update

Hi All,

Another big month for Solution Consulting, means another big post!

Partner Solution Engineering

In April the Partner Professional Services (ProServe) and Solution Consulting (Pre-Sales) teams merged with ProServe being reborn as the Partner Solution Engineer Team (PSET). Both teams remain dedicated to their core functions with the added benefit of collaborative expertise.

 

As part of that announcement here we mentioned the PSE Team’s role would continue to evolve to better equip you.

 

PSET will focus on providing enhanced value to our partner channel through building deeper expertise, improved resources, and enhanced visibility into best practices.

 

Process Job Aids have been uploaded to Frontify to assist with:

  1. How to Engage with the Partner Solution Engineering Team (PSET)
  2. How to seek answers to your customers Audit and Cyber Security questions
  3. Link and contact details for common partner resources

 

What hasn’t changed

  • PSET will continue to respond to your implementation queries via the PSErequests@myob.com email queue.
  • Queries are addressed in the order received.
  • Critical issues and faults should be raised via a support case.
  • Once a site is live, all further queries should be raised via a support case.

What has changed

When sending an email to PSET, this should contain:

  • only one specific question. ​
  • your Phoenix or Customer ID and name.
  • the solutions being implemented.
  • any relevant screenshots. ​

Be clear and concise in your query and state your desired outcome.​

PSE will prioritize assisting with implementation queries relating to core functionality. Partners can request a quote from our Direct Services team for assistance with items such as:

  • Import Scenarios​
  • Business Events
  • Report Designer​
  • Customizations and APIs​
  • Generic Inquiries

Environments

Our 2023.1xx.3xx snapshots have been released and are available to download from via the Partner Self-Service Portal here. Along with feature updates, these snapshots have been configured with the inclusion of corporate credit cards, approval maps and lastly some fixes (thanks for all your feedback). Sales Demo AU, Sales Demo NZ, Payroll AU and Payroll NZ have all had their data updated to April 2024. Lastly, to align with updated security standards (see this post), all passwords in our Demo Snapshots have been updated. The updated password can be found within the Demo Scripts. We’d strongly advised you update this password when restoring.

Please Note that your site’s build must match the snapshots build to use these Snapshots.

Solution Consulting Survey

As a reminder, Solution Consulting are running Survey to gather data to better understand how all the services Solution Consulting provide are currently utilised and how we can improve on them to better meet your Demonstration and Implementation capability.

Consensus

For those who missed our announcement last month, Solution Consulting are thrilled to introduce Consensus Tours, an interactive customer experience that adds product tours to existing automated demos. Tours allows a viewer to not only view a video of an MYOB product, but also partake in an interactive tour of said product. This functionality is valuable because it provides our customers with a more powerful and immersive experience. You show you, don't just tell. Tours connects the what of the product with the why. Please see below video which explains this further:
