Known Issue - Advanced Workforce Management Employee Importer misbehaving.

Hi All,

I'm posting here to notify about a few related issues, so there's a central resource for "What needs to be done to fix the import files from MYOB Advanced Payroll (Payroll) to MYOB Advanced Workforce Management (WFM).

The following issues exist with the Export scenario in Payroll/require fix in the Import CSV:

ADV-49142 - Column AUsuperMemberRef should be called AUSuperMemberRef

ADV-49141 - Data values that are incorrect in tables:

  • employmentType
    • Existing value "FullTime"
    • Should be "Full Time"
  • ADV-45570 - AUZoneRebate
    • Existing value (blank/null) ""
    • Should be "None"

The following errors are present in the WFM Importer as of 9.12:

ADV-53136 - Incorrect errors for required fields that aren't required.
The following fields:

• postalLine1
• postalPostalCode
• postalCountry
Prompt as mandatory during the import, but they are actually not required. (This error can be ignored).

ADV-53137 - Visa fields have been changed to be mandatory

Employee Importer is now requiring Visa fields before employees can be fully imported.

These can be skipped, but it requires scrolling down to the Visa Information section and using the garbage bin to remove the empty visa.

Reminder: Be careful with Excel.
Excel has a habit of messing up data when you open CSVs and should typically be avoided.  If you are opening data with Excel do it carefully using one of the various methods on the internet to not have your dates/leading zeros messed with.

    Update:

ADV-53137 - Visa fields have been changed to be mandatory
As at 2024.1, Visa fields are continuing to prompt for selection if they are present in the export file.
    Workaround::
Remove the following columns from the import template:

    visaCountry visaDetails visaExpiryDate visaNumber visaTypeId

When none are present, the importer will not prompt for Visa entry.
(Obviously if you have some staff who need viass loaded, this implies a need to separate them into a different import file)
