Moving the Document Manager file store to a network location
Hi I have a standalone MYOB AO setup. I'm wanting to move the Document Manager File Store to a network folder. I note that when running the DM_Config utility, it says the location must be a local folder and not a network location. To get around this (rightly or wrongly), I've simply mounted a network folder as a drive and point the DM_Config utility at it. It accepts the setting fine however, when I attempt to add a file to DM, it errors out saying "Cannot save file to the File Store after 3 attempts. Reason: Could not find a part of the path '<file store location I gave it>\<folder name MYOB creates>'. File <file i'm adding>. The file remains checked out, please try again later." So it begs the question, can one actually use a network location as the DM File Store? If so, what settings need to be changed to allow for this? I note that this could be done by saving to an iSCSI target however, our implementation requires a network share. Thank you.Knowing what Bank Rule is being applied
Hi I'm having a similar problem to what was listed here Know which rule applied | MYOB Community. The solution given 3 years ago was that there is no way to know what rule is being applied. In short: I have heaps of rules which exist. MYOB AccountRight (desktop) is currently grabbing a number of deposits and matching (incorrectly) them to an invoice rule and attempting to allocate to a particular customer. Given the number of rules which exist, it's not practical to check each rule. Question, is there a way to see what rule is being activated to match the particular transaction? Thanks Jacksen. Yes, it seems our implementations are different. Re the text you have in the spoiler window - can where did you get that? I note that the link you provided doesn't say the same specific text. I note it does say the "deploy" folder must be a local folder and I do comply with that requirement. Hi Jacksen Thanks for the reply. A few questions: Are you running your own domain and did you have to set additional permissions at the domain level for this to work? Is the network drive mounted or are you pointing it at "\\network-drive\file-store" Have you left the MYOB server running all the services as the local system user or did you change these? If you have any other tips, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
