The whole idea of the capture app and the intray feature is to save time not make things more convoluted. AmandaMYOB that may be all well and good to say, but where is the beta testing that would IMMEDIATELY identify the need for multi page invoice capture ? How can I have my lower tier staff download this app to use for capturing incoming tax invoices without giving them access to outgoing customer invoicing, overdue invoice amounts, client contact information and other information that would otherwise be inaccessible to them ? It's easy to say "move away from outdated, unsafe and unsuported software" but when the replacement is not a replacement and is not fit for purpose, how is this an improvement ? This new app seems to be a blend of the MYOB Capture and MYOB Invoices apps. Those 2 tasks are completely separate and can be allocated to different levels of staff, I fail to see the benefit in making them one app that can't be given to any and every employee to help with admin tasks that are suitable to that individual person. Does MYOB even consider what various types and sizes of businesses require for their bookkeeping ? Does MYOB have experienced and practicing bookkeepers, accountants, business owners or former business owners as part of the design and testing team ? Software engineers might be able to write code like a demon but I'd suggest their bookkeeping skills are likely very limited. It's great to have dev's test something to work as designed but if the design is impractical and unsuitable for industry use then what was the point of the change again ? I'm sick of software constantly being altered, changed and fiddled with for seemingly no benefit other than the sake of change and justification of one's employment. I can give you a long list of things about MYOB Business that are impractical, don't work, excessively convoluted and clunky to use and should have never even made it past Alpha testing never mind 2 years of full release without being fixed or addressed. I'd be happy to expand on these issues here or elsewhere if there is a genuine interest making the software work effectively and I'm sure there'd be a long queue of business owners and bookkeepers ready to agree with me but don't have to time to make a complaint and not have it upvoted sufficiently to be addressed. Multi page invoice capture is essential. Does anyone that designs or alters this software actually use it or have experience running a business or various types of businesses ?? The capture app works fantastic WHY are you removing it ?? I’d like an explanation. Re: MYOB Capture App not appearing in iOS app store Princess_R Is this replacement app the one that is going to cost me $567 per year ? https://www.myob.com/au/pricing I don't think the Capture app should be considered an add-on, it's been an essential part of MYOB essentials for many years and was touted as a feature of essentials. You can't use the app by itself without using a MYOB subscription, therefore the app forms part of the product we're paying for, it's an app that can be optionally downloaded and used by those people wanting that convenience. After struggling for a couple weeks, today I decided to reinstall the app only to find it gone. I use this app daily, and it's included in the monthly price we pay that keeps increasing. With increased pricing I expect current working features to be maintained not just taken down when there's difficulty. I want this app back as this heavily affects my workflow and time effectiveness. As a customer I'm sick of being dismissed by MYOB.
