We are selling the business at the end of financial year and I am trying to find out what should happen with MYOB. We will continue to need access to our MYOB file as not all customers will have their Invoices paid by the end of financial year and will still be making payments for the next couple of months. Therefore, we will also need the MYOB file for taxation purposes in the 2023/2024 financial year. The new owners will also require access to Customer and Supplier Card Files, Sales History, Purchase History and Inventory. We do not want the new owners to have access to our bank accounts that are linked to our MYOB file, nor do we want access to their bank accounts. Our options that I can think of are: - New owners take over the Serial No., however I believe we would lose access to the company file unless they create user access for us, which would give them access to our linked bank accounts and give us access to theirs - We continue owning the Serial No. and provide the new owners with user access, which would also have the above issue - New owners start their own MYOB account and company file and we could export the Customer and Supplier Card Files, Sales History, Purchase History and Inventory and the new owners could import this data into their company file Can you please advise what the best way to proceed would be? I'm open to other options if they exist. Re: AccountRight 2016.2 now available Hi StevenR As some of the others who have posted here, my MYOB is also showing "2016.2 now available" with an Update Now button, however I have already updated to 2016.2. How will I know when the EOFY update is actually available to me? Also, has there been any breakthrough as to why this version keeps crashing for some people, as I am still having this happen multiple times a day and have had no further response from one of the other Moderators in my post on the Community Forum. I did FINALLY get through to someone who suggested that it may be to do with the AntiVirus we run and I either needed to disable the AntiVirus (not going to happen) or create an Exception to this folder: C:\Users\(USERNAME)\AppData\Local\MYOB. @DanniTAG this may help you also as our error had something to do with database already opened by another user. Where it says (USERNAME) enter your computers name instead. Fingers crossed this works. Re: AccountRight 2016.2 now available Hi StevenR We do not have any pictures in our Employee Cards. So far the error only seems to occur when I'm doing something with Sales or Purchases. Re: AccountRight 2016.2 now available I just posted this in the Community Forum but thought I'd give it a go posting here as I've been on the phone with MYOB for over 30 minutes and am still on hold... I updated my AccountRight to the newest version last Friday (Version 2016.2). Since then I have had the "Something has gone wrong and AccountRight must close" seven times. The Error Report shows: Code: Unknown (0) Message: (Unknown): ShowUIView(CardDetail,...,...) I'm currently on hold with MYOB after being transferred to a third department to try and find out what is causing this and how to fix it. Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea how to stop this from happening? It's already driving me crazy. I'm running Windows 7 if that helps.
