MYOB Community Forum Guidelines

Welcome to our Community Forum!

The MYOB Community Forum is a friendly space with the intention of helping individuals engage in discussions, suggest product improvements and stay up to date with the MYOB community. These guidelines exist to ensure everyone has a great experience and can find value in the space.

By participating, you agree to respect and adhere to these guidelines.

 

Personal Privacy

Be mindful of sharing personal information such as:

  • serial number
  • client ID
  • login email address
  • phone number

The forum is a moderated space, any information that has been posted and is deemed as "personal" or "sensitive" will be edited and removed, this includes screenshots attached to posts.

When creating your MYOB Community Forum account, usernames that include any reference to your MYOB account details will be removed and updated to a generic username, you will be notified and advised to update your profile settings by one of our moderators via private message on the community forum. Be Respectful

The following are not tolerated and will be removed by a moderator:

  • swear words
  • inappropriate language
  • hate speech
  • political references
  • personal attacks
  • accusations of unlawful accounting practices
  • accusations of unlawful business practices
  • excessive self-promotion

Debate the issues and engage in discussions, do not criticise individuals. As part of the ongoing efforts of moderating the community forum, posts and comments found to include these types of language will be edited/removed.

 

Reporting Issues

If you see something inappropriate, please use the "Report" button. Do this by clicking on the settings cog on the top right of any post and selecting "Report". Our moderators will then review the post and take necessary action.

If you have feedback to provide or are unhappy with our moderation of the Forum, you can email your thoughts to feedback@myob.com.

 

Moderation

To ensure the space continues to be a space for users to easily find answers, MYOB’s moderation efforts are ongoing.

We reserve the right to reject specific content if it includes:

  • personal information is shared in text/screenshot of a post
  • information no longer relevant to current market and compliance standards
  • language that has been outlined as not tolerated in the guidelines above

If you believe a post has been removed incorrectly, please reach out to a MYOB moderator.

The Ideas Exchange has a robust feedback loop that ensures your posts, votes and comments are seen by our product teams. Ideas that don’t generate enough votes may be closed off and can result in being removed as part of this review.

 

Consequences of Misconduct

Members who do not adhere to these Community Guidelines will receive a reminder or warning from a MYOB moderator first. Repeated violations can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the Community Forum.

 

Product Help vs Accounting Advice

The MYOB Community Forum aims to provide updates and helpful resources and answers. MYOB moderators are able to assist and answer any questions about the MYOB product, however, you will need to consult a bookkeeper/accountant or our other community members if seeking accounting advice.

 

Learn and Contribute

Share your experiences and know-how, engage in discussions for product improvements and keep up to date with the MYOB community on this forum. Ensure your content has a clear purpose and adds value for the rest of the community.
