Hi all,
It’s been another eventful week here at MYOB.
We were excited to attend the annual Accountants’ Technology Showcase Australia and announce that a feature-rich mobile application is coming soon. The app will integrate with our flagship cloud accounting product, AccountRight Live.
The app will be available for iOS and Android devices, and include these much-requested features:
- Debtors - for keeping up with who owes the business money and why
- Invoicing - for being able to manage bookwork while on the go
- Payments - making a mobile phone a merchant terminal, taking on-the-go payments and improving cash flow
- Contacts - for easy access to the contact details of business clients, suppliers, partners and others.
MYOB CEO Tim Reed says a wide variety of clients across the country have been consulted to ensure we deliver mobile solutions that suit their requirements.
“We’ve found many accountants and their clients are satisfied with desktop software while others love the enhanced productivity of working in the cloud,” Tim says. “Regardless, what each has in common is a desire to manage their business from their pocket whenever they need to.”
We will share more information about the exciting app as the launch draws closer.
This week we also launched a free online service to help small businesses to assess the health of their companies.
The MYOB Business Reality Check provides a comprehensive assessment tool that identifies business issues then offers a range of resources to help solve them.
An online service, the MYOB Business Reality Check takes business operators through an easy to navigate survey. It then delivers tailored expert advice based around 10 key areas - keeping on top of debtors, time management, budget, tax, cash flow, technology, job costing, stock, advertising, and HR. We hope you find it an invaluable tool.
It was also another busy week here on the Community Forum. Another 200 new members joined the community and over 446 posts were submitted, including 158 from MYOB staff.
Our top contributors this week were The_Doc, TonyLane, ronatbas, PHalls and Julie_A_C. The star of the week was again TonyLane, who had eight posts marked as Solutions. Well done also to The_Doc who had three posts marked as Solutions.
A huge thanks to all those community members who shared their knowledge, wisdom and expertise on the forum this week.
Love your work,
