"Customers do typically own this software through a perpetual licence" which also includes full use in perpetuity. The 28th Feb 26 shutdown date (EOFY being March 31st 26) for those of us who reject a subscription/cloud platform will have wasted a serious amount of data input. My 2004 Accountedge licence has no option for MYOB to refuse file validation, you have a duty to restore ongoing functionality unless you can provide a legal reason for this announcement, you know what you must do.

Hi Wingnut , We announced the end of life of AccountEdge in 2022 and allowed customers to continue to use it since then, with a view that they would move to more secure and modern programs. We feel that we have allowed enough time for this transition.

'Announced in 2022'? That's like warning of a leaky roof, then flooding the house in 2026. The April notice killed upgrades/support—fine, we braced. But file validation lockout? Buried in fine print until your Nov '25 alarm bells. My 2004 perpetual license (I am sure that you have it,User Guide: zero sunset clauses) means ongoing usability under CGA s6/9—not your 'enough time' veto after 22 years of data sweat. Others have tried this; backlash forced extensions/refunds. Prove the legal basis for this brick wall, or restore confirmations gratis. Otherwise, it's planned obsolescence, not 'transition.' Who's with me on a legacy users' CGA claim?

I agree, As I mentioned in another post, MYOB are being disingenuous and patronising with this claim that customers don’t know how to protect themselves.

Hi Mike_MYOB, I did migrate AccountEdge over back in 2023 to one of the alternative MYOB products offered. After three weeks I had to just take a payroll offered platform program as what was offered was not exactly like AccountEdge in particular the inventory component was not the same and did not provide the same parameters as AccountEdge. Has this been revised or is it still the same. For example the search field and the amount of information to be entered in Description, as all data does transfer across but any new entries were hampered. We also had issues with it being cloud based for all inventory information and we have a network so did also not suit multiple users. Would be glad to have your feedback on this or get a contact number to discuss further with a consultant.

Hi Ang1972 , there hasn't been a revision to the inventory parameters you have mentioned. You could absolutely still connect with one of our sales consultants to understand whether we have a solution that would be the right fit for your business, you can find how to get in touch with them by visiting myob.com/contacts/sales
