Hi Phil_mtc
How quickly things change! What MYOB said 2 years ago, no longer applies. And yes, some users are still getting confirmation codes, as late as yesterday. So it seems MYOB engaged in a 'scare' campaign again. You can never tell if they actually had any intention to switch off the server, or have postponed the date, or have relented due to comments by users. Either way they managed to get a few users to sign up to the subscription model.
It reminds me of how less than 2 years ago, MYOB stated repeatedly (through forum staff and others) that they had no intention of stopping 'offline mode' for AR2026 files. This week they have announced this starts June 2026! All AR2026 files must be hosted online after that date, else they will not work.
They have also said there was no intention to stop the desktop application - that comes next, within 12 months it will be browser access only - **bleep**py as it is.
MYOB are clearly not the company they once were. What customers want does not seem to matter anymore, MYOB will dictate how all users must work. And if you don't have stable internet - go elsewhere!
FYI - FGH Tables can help you use v19 long into the future.

Gavin
Hi gavin12345 , AccountRight desktop isn’t going anywhere. The only change is that company files will need to be online to receive product and security updates, support, and online services.
With regards to confirmations for V19 and older products.
Our decommissioning of the platforms supporting confirmations and these older products is a major project. We have not postponed these changes or changed our minds, but there was a difficult balance in ensuring we provided an appropriate notice period to user of these products, while not knowing exactly when this work might be completed.

Hi Mike_MYOB
Just to clarify, if an offline Desktop file is kept at the current version AR 2026.2 with a subscription, will they still be able to confirm the file?

Liz

Hi Liz_A
There will be no offline desktop available after June 17, this includes current versions and if there an active subscription.
Desktop files will need to be online.
Our Accountant and Bookkeeper partners received an email about this yesterday and general communications are planned for next week.
I will likely get something posted in the forum today though seeing as this change is already being discussed.
